The atelier

More than a shop: an open workbench

Behind every piece there is a person, an atelier and a little time. This is the story of YOURBRAND, from the first wheel to the signature underneath.

The story

One person, one workbench, one simple idea

YOURBRAND began in 2011 in a small atelier at the back of a courtyard: a wheel, a few shelves and the urge to make objects that last. No warehouses, no moulds: every piece passes through the same pair of hands, from raw material to the signature underneath.

We work with natural materials - clay, plant wax, linen, brass, local wood - and at the right pace: clay rests, wood seasons, wax scents slowly. That is why every creation is slightly different from the next. That is the beauty of the handmade: none is perfect, each one is unique.

The workshop

A look inside the atelier

The atelier is a single bright room: the wheel by the window, the loom in a corner, the carving bench beneath shelves full of tests and glazes. It is as cluttered as a place where real work happens should be, and it is also the shop where we display the finished pieces.

The atelier is also a shop: drop by to see the pieces in person, or book a private visit.

The process

From raw material to finished piece

No rush and no shortcuts. Every creation goes through the same four stages, always in the same pair of hands.

01

Choosing the materials

We select natural materials from small suppliers: clays, plant waxes, linen, brass, local wood.

02

Working by hand

Wheel, loom, carving bench: every piece takes shape by hand, one at a time, with no moulds.

03

Firing and finishing

Kiln firings, oilings, glazes and oxidising: the slow part that gives each object its character.

04

Check and packaging

We check each piece, sign it and wrap it in recycled paper, ready for its journey.

Our values

Four promises, on every piece

Truly made by hand

No moulds, no assembly line: every object is thrown, sewn or carved by hand, one at a time, in the atelier.

Natural materials

Clay, soy and rapeseed wax, linen, cotton, brass and local wood. Living materials that age well and can be repaired.

Made to last

Nothing disposable: solid, repairable, timeless pieces. Recycled-paper packaging and waste kept to a minimum.

Bespoke, if you like

A dinner set, an engraved ring, a throw in your colours: we make unique pieces to order.

Materials and sustainability

Natural materials, waste kept to a minimum

We choose natural, and where possible local, raw materials: European clays, plant waxes, linen and cotton, brass and traceably sourced woods. We work in small batches, reuse our offcuts and pack only in recycled paper and cardboard.

Clay and plant waxes

Lead-free clays and renewable, clean-burning soy and rapeseed waxes.

Linen, cotton and wool

Natural fibres from certified yarns, woven on the loom and hand-sewn.

Traceable woods

Walnut, oak and maple from responsible suppliers, finished with food-safe oils.

Packaging and repairs

Recycled paper, no plastic. We repair pieces wherever we can.

Markets and events

Where to meet us in person

Some pieces need to be touched to be understood. So, a few times a year, we take the atelier to craft markets and handmade fairs. It is the chance to see the collections in person and to talk about a commission.
